Dentistry
IMS offers a Dentistry Program at The Dental medical school at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. This is a 6 year (12 semesters) programme taught exclusively in English. This programme is intended for high school graduates who fulfil the minimum requirements. Graduates of this programme receive a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from this accredited EU University.
This programme has a limited amount of openings to foreign candidates. From start to finish, the university gives graduates the necessary experience to enter the medical profession with confidence.
Graduates of the D.M.D. program obtain theoretical knowledge of all preclinical medical branches. The graduate learns basic therapeutics and preventive methods and is able to practice basic treatments with a D.M.D. degree.
Core modules of the Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree include: Biophysics, General and Oral Biology, General and Orofacial Anatomy, Biochemistry and Oral Biochemistry, Physiology and Oral Physiology, Microbiology and Oral Microbiology, Pharmacology, Surgery – Propaedeutic, Preventive Dental Medicine, Conservative Dentistry, Prosthetic Dentistry, General Surgery, Anaesthesiology and Resuscitation and Orthodontics.
