Please view our recent webinar with representatives of UCAM and a current British student if you would like to learn more about this option.

In 2018, Universidad Catolica de Murcia (UCAM) launched its dentistry degree in English. With state of the art facilities at its campus and a world-class clinic, UCAM offers yet another excellent opportunity to gain a degree that is recognised throughout the European Union. In 2020, UCAM also launched an additional class at its Cartagena campus thus doubling the number of places they have available.

We are delighted to announce that we are able to assist some students in applying to this new option. The entry requirements are ABB or better at A' level, including Biology and Chemistry. If you have the International Baccalaureate, Scottish Highers or the Irish Leaving Certificate please contact us and we will provide you with entry requirements for these qualifications.

The entry process to UCAM does not involve an entrance exam but does include an interview. This interview will be relatively informal in comparison to British dental schools. In addition to your grades, candidates will be assessed on their language ability and their motivation. For students on the English-taught programme it is not necessary to speak Spanish but in common with all other dental degrees in Spain, please do not apply if you are not willing to learn the language. Even though all classes and exams are in English, you will not be able to enter clinics without Spanish language ability.

There are 40 places on the dentistry degree in English in both Murcia and Cartagena. For 2021 admission Murcia is currently full but there are some places available in Cartagena as of mid-May 2021.

Please also bear in mind that, as with all Spanish dental degrees, you will almost certainly have to meet the costs of tuition and living from your own resouces. Murcia is generally perceived as a slightly cheaper city than Valencia or Madrid but you will still need to budget around €750-800 a month if you live in private rented accommodation.
