The Modern Japanese Studies Program does not require students to speak Japanese upon enrollment but you will learn to the point of fluency during your studies. If you speak little or no Japanese at the start of your studies you will take a six-month intensive language course before starting the degree. There is no tuition fee for this language course and generous scholarships are available for some students throughout the entire degree.
