Tuition Fees

We have included tuition fees in our database wherever possible. In order to enable like-for-like comparisons all fees are reported on an annual basis even though they may be calculated differently by the higher education institution on their own website. Fees are quoted in the local currency to enable accurate comparisons over time. Calculation of fees as GB£ equivalents via sites such as www.xe.com is straightforward.

In some cases, universities report tuition fees that include accommodation and living costs. Where this is made clear we have stripped these costs out of our calculation to leave only the cost element that directly relates to tuition. However, this is not always made clear on a higher education institutions own website.
