Kelowna is located on Okanagan Lake, in the soutern interior of British Columbia, Canada. It is the third largest metropolitan area in British Columbia, with a population of around 180,000 in 2011.

According to Statistics Canada, more than 90% of Kelowna residents speak English as their first language, much higher than the figure in other cities such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

Kelowna is a very safe city with friendly neighborhoods and an easygoing lifestyle. Moreover, living costs are are significantly lower in Kelowna than in many major cities in Canada, making it an ideal student city.

You can easily get to Kelowna by air from Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle and Los Angeles.
