Safety and Security Management Studies

Safety and Security Management Studies offer an opportunity to develop competencies aimed at adding value to the public governance of safety and security for those who want to make a difference in the public service.
Safety and security as public interests can only be understood set within an international context. However, the public governance of safety and security can only be effective taking local considerations into account. Connecting the global and the local is a focus of Safety and Security Studies at The Hague University.
Safety and Security Studies focus on India, Brazil, Morocco, Southern Africa, United States for institutional cooperation.
The Hague is the administrative centre of The Netherlands and hosts a range of national, European and international organisations in the field of safety and security, peace and justice. The Hague University partners with many of them. During the four year course, students will have the opportunity to have internships at a range of international organisations in the field.
