Overview of the location

Prague is a medieval city with a great historical and modern atmosphere. It is famous for a rich cultural heritage that includes world-famous museums, galleries, castles and churches.

Following the Velvet Revolution in 1989, Prague was transformed into a lively city offering a wide choice of culture, sports and entertainment opportunities. Today it is a relaxed, easy-going and cosmopolitan place where one can meet many people — locals as well as foreigners.

The city offers a wide range of activities that can satisfy many different interests and preferences. Apart from the rich mainstream cultural content, there are numerous alternative venues:

  • world-famous clubs like Akropolis, Radost FX, Roxy
  • art spaces like Futura and NoD
  • and theatres like Archa, Ahmed ma Hlad and many more

Since the fall of the communist dictatorship many foreigners have moved to the Czech Republic and now Prague is home to a large number of expatriate communities. This international presence adds to the city’s already vibrant cultural offer.

Prague College

Whether you are into modern dance, Kabbalah studies, or ice hockey, there is no doubt you can find a community here that is open to, and perhaps run by expatriates. There is definitely a lot more to this place than excellent beer and lively pubs!

Some of the greatest European artists and scientist have lived and worked in the inspiring atmosphere of this city. And since the town was not significantly ruined during the Second World War, people today are able to enjoy the presence of Prague’s long architectural history.

With so much to offer, Prague is now one of the most popular European tourist destinations. Being located in the centre of Europe it also happens to be a convenient starting point for travelling to other countries as well.

Institutional facilities

Prague College resides in 600 square metres on two floors of a beautiful historical building on Polska street in Vinohrady — a central Prague neighbourhood full of cafes, pubs and parks.
