Western Herbal Medicine

Discover how herbs can be used to promote health and restore balance in disease through an effective and holistic treatment. Learn the principles of plant identification, actions, indications and prescriptions of hundreds of herbs, then manufacture and distribute herbal preparations via the ACNT dispensary. Get clinical experience – the best experience of all – and learn to engage with clients in a safe and professional way.

Your job as a Herbalist is to heal and detoxify the body by way of herbal remedies. Healing begins with an assessment to determine the clients' health status and treat their problems effectively. This involves a detailed history of the client, together with iridology and a physical assessment. Next stage is recovery, by offering a suitable herbal treatment. This could be supplements, fluid extracts, tablets, capsules, creams or gels, aimed to boost wellness in a holistic way.
