The sheer scope and impact of economics studies offers many opportunities for a rewarding career. The Bachelor of Applied Economics at University of Canberra is more policy-oriented than mathematical in its approach.
The course will provide the skills to critically examine major social issues confronting individuals and societies. Why does one country grow while another faces collapse? What are the best policies to insulate our society from the financial impact of global warming? It’s a highly flexible degree that allows students to combine the compulsory economics major with a second major chosen from any course taught in the University, be it Chinese, media, law, ebusiness or management.
The Bachelor of Applied Economics provides a strong core of applied skills for students seeking to a professional career as an economist. This program provides a strong degree of flexibility through the ability to choose an open major from more than 50 fields across all 7 faculties of the university.
