You will develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in tomorrow's job markets – anywhere in the world. We are proud to educate the next generation of international business leaders. And you might become one of them.

About the programme

International Business Fast-Track is a three-year Bachelor’s degree programme taught entirely in English. The programme delivers the same intended learning outcomes as the four-year programme, only more academic in nature, covering a broader range of literature and business theories. Be prepared to work on your personal, professional and intercultural skills, and expect to learn the essentials of business.

Expect lectures, guest lectures, work groups, a large amount of self-study and much field-based learning. Learn by doing during a Global Exchange, an internship and real-business world projects. The programme prepares you to succeed in an international business environment, through courses in the fields of economics, marketing, information technology, trade and cultures.

Curriculum: in short

The International Business Fast-Track programme is structured into two main parts.

General Business

In the first half of the programme, you will complete the General Business Track, which runs through the first three semesters. This track enables students to gain foundational knowledge of a variety of business areas. You will take introduction modules, such as Principles of Management, Business Information Technology, Change Management, Marketing Strategy and Governance and Sustainability and Entrepreneurship.

Global Specialisation

For your academic training in the second half of the programme, you can choose to specialise in one of the following areas:

  • Organisation, Leadership and Change
  • International Finance and Control
  • Global Trade and Supply Chain Management
  • International Marketing and Sales

Additionally, you will complete the Global Specialisation Track. It consists of a minor, a global exchange, an internship and a Bachelor's thesis. The minors within the International Business Fast-Track programme give you the platform to gain a rich insight into economics and trade in a particular region, such as China and Latin America. On the other hand, you will hone your intercultural skills through spending a semester at one of our partner universities and completing an internship at multinational company. In the past, our students interned at Google, Nike and Booking.com.

The most important element of the final year is your graduation assignment. You can either conduct an in-company thesis while doing your internship, or taking a business research assignment at our Centre for Entrepreneurial Dynamics and International Strategy.

Personal attention

What makes our programme really stand out is the personal attention given to students. You will attend classes with your own group of 30 students maximum. Students also benefit from a lot of class time contact with their lectures: about 20 hours a week. Every student is assigned to a mentor and each programme has its own study advisor.

Career Opportunities

As an International Business graduate you are a valuable asset to employers as you have acquired a solid theoretical understanding of business administration and will be able to convert these theories into practice and actual products. By the time you have completed the programme, you will be a broadly educated professional with international experience.

During your studies you will have already built a valuable network and will be able to fulfil an international function at management level in the business-to-consumer or business-to-business sector.
