This four-year, all-English programme will familiarise you with the practical, hands-on side of business. Each year is divided into two semesters, during which you will take different subjects and gradually work towards your final degree and thesis.

In the first year, you will be working on a number of team projects. You will learn to plan, allocate tasks, schedule meetings both online and offline, and work together with students from all kinds of nationalities and backgrounds. The first year’s theme is Entrepreneurship, which means you will learn how to set up and run your own business. Besides the typical business subjects like marketing, management, finance and research, you will be introduced to Asian Trade, Cross-Cultural Analysis,, and a choice of Japanese, Hindi or Mandarin. Sports are also part of the curriculum, in order to promote teamwork in the classroom and support your personal development.

In the second year, the central theme will be export management. You will learn to analyse both the Asian business environment to anticipate changes, and the internal business processes to assess the ability of a firm to benefit from the changes identified. To enable you to fully grasp the theory of this year, you will work on a collaborative assignment for a European SME (small- or medium-sized enterprise), assessing its foreign activities and preparing an export plan to grow its business in an Asian market. The recommendations of this plan are presented to the entire programme (students, faculty members and members of the business community) at the International Trade Seminar.

The first semester of the third year includes advanced courses in trade-related areas such as Strategic Marketing, Management, Procurement, Cross-Cultural Negotiations and Management Accounting. The theory will again be implemented in an enterprise development project, in which you analyse, plan and implement the expansion of an Asian SME in a foreign market of your choice.

You will spend the second semester as an exchange student at a pre-selected partner business school or university in Asia.

In the first semester of your fourth year, you will complete an Asia-focused internship, preferably for a company in Asia to gain in-depth understanding of doing business with/in Asia, implementing all you have learned in the previous years at school. In the final semester you will work on a few final (elective and mandatory subjects (such as e-commerce and sales management) along with your thesis.
